Grading:
Evaluation is
based on points assigned to the following areas:
·
Homework
·
Quizzes /
Tests
·
Labs
·
Projects
·
Participation (preparation, behavior, discussion).
Grades are calculated according to a point system. Each
area/activity is assigned a point value. The marking period grade is
determined by dividing the points earned by the total possible points. For
example, if a student earned 150 points out of a total of 200 points, he
or she would divide 150 by 200 which equals .75. This number is then
converted to a percent75%.
Making up work after absence:
It
is your responsibility to obtain all notes, work and test/quiz material. A
copy of all materials handed out in class will be placed in your student
folder or you may print a copy from the website. You must make up tests
and quizzes within the week; homework is due the next day.
