Welcome to the world of fashion. In this class the students will begin to learn about the industry. From Design and construction to business, they will experience all that is required of them to more onto a fashion college and career. At the end of this program they will have completed a portfolio displaying their style, talent and expertise.

Class Requirements

1. Weekly reading articles from the NY Times Sunday Magazine and Style section on 

    designers, business and important issues within the industry

2. Maintaining an idea book; based on weekly works and themes

3. Constant drawing for design and form which is encouraged to be continued

    outside of class time

4. Quizes on articles and terminology

5. Construction and productions of lines, palettes and displays
