Overview

This course is an elective. We will be watching approximately twelve feature films in class. Course work will include reading the chapters in the textbook, defining the terms and concepts for each chapter, tests on the chapters, writing review of each film and group work and presentations. Students should try to avoid absences, especially on film days, because missed work and viewing of films must be made up promptly. If a student is absent when a film is being shown, he/she will have to watch the film at home on his/her own time.

Parents should be aware that a few of the films do include violence and profanity. Each film has been approved by the Red Bank Regional Board of Education. All films have been recognized for their various attributes for studying film and film techniques. The following films is a list of the films that may be viewed over the period of one semester.
