English II CP

Welcome to my Website. Here students and parents will find useful information regarding the classes I teach.

GENERAL CLASSROOM POLICIES

1. Arrive in class on time.

2. Always come prepared to class with your notebooks, textbooks, writing materials.

3. Do not leave your seat unless told by the teacher to do so.

4. You are expected to remain silent in class. Raise your hand if you have something to say.

5. Be respectful and courteous to others. No tolerance will be shown towards foul language.

A Synopsis of English II CP:  (In my own words...)

The primary focus of this class is concentrated on the 'building blocks' of the literature that we read today.  We will focus on how this literature has grown throughout time and the major influences that have affected its development.  We will start from as early as Native American Myths all the way to present day Modernism Short Stories and Poetry.  We will also spend time on building our vocabulary and grammar skills along the way.  Writing will fill in our remaining time, with at least one major essay and rewrite per marking period.
