Admission to the Pre-IB Pathway Program is determined by an evaluation of your application, transcripts and personal statement by a review committee. Candidates are required to take an entrance exam for admission on February 1, 2025 at 12pm. Candidates and their parents will receive an email notification of their exam schedule by January 10, 2025. Candidates will then have until March 21, 2025 to notify us about their decision to enroll in the Pre-IB Pathway Program.

Pre-IB Pathway Applicants must reside in one of the three sending districts: Red Bank, Little Silver or Shrewsbury. If an applicant is enrolled in a private school but still resides in one of our three sending districts, they may apply to the Pre-IB Pathway online and email the application to Vicki Pirher, the IB Diploma Program Co-Coordinator, at vpirher@rbrhs.org. Applicants are also required to send their 7th and 8th grade transcripts to: Ms. Pirher (please ask your guidance counselor to forward your transcripts to Ms. Pirher). Private school guidance counselors may mail the application and transcripts in one package to Ms. Pirher.
It is recommended that the parent or guardian email Ms. Pirher prior to completing and sending the application to ensure the application process proceeds smoothly.
