RBR Students Strong Academic Performances Rewarded through SOURCE Program

the RBR graduating seniors who have won prizes in the Encourage an “A” contest   On May 1, over 40 Red Bank Regional High School (RBR) students were celebrated for their stellar academic accomplishments at the school during its annual Encourage and “A” Program and celebratory dinner, sponsored by the RBR SOURCE.

One by one, students were called up to receive a variety of gifts including gift certificates to a favored teenage retail store, Amazon Echos, Beats headphones, laptops and even flatscreen TV’s.   The value of the gift ascended with the number of A’s the students earned in their third marking period this school year.

SOURCE Director Suzanne Keller told the students, “We started this program 16 years ago to give you incentive to continue the good work at a particularly difficult time of the school year, the third semester, and found this program to be very effective.

She added, “We are very proud of you and know you have developed great study habits and organizational skills to take with you to college.”

All awards are provided by the RBR SOURCE Foundation, a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization, through their many fund-raising efforts. The SOURCE is RBR’s School-Based Youth Services Program whose mission is to remove all obstacles that impede students’ academic success.  Services range from quality mental health counseling to learning support initiatives. This is accomplished by offering services free of charge to students and their families including; individual, group and family counseling, preventative medical, dental and eye care, academic support, scholarship opportunities, and recreational and cultural events.
