Adeno Virus Cold Flu Health Information

Adenoviruses are common viruses that cause a range of illness. They can cause cold-like symptoms, sore throat, bronchitis, pneumonia, diarrhea, and pink eye (conjunctivitis). Those with immune comprised respiratory systems are more likely to be affected.

As you may be aware there is currently an outbreak of the measles in Ocean County. There are currently 12 confirmed cases. There are no confirmed cases of the measles as of today in Monmouth County. I am sure your districts are getting questions about the measles and what parents and staff should be doing at this time.
