    On April 29, the Red Bank Regional (RBR) Buc Backer Foundation held its 15th annual induction of Distinguished Alumni into its Hall of Fame. This year’s inductees included: award-winning, psychiatric researcher Janice A. Egeland, Ph.D., Class of 1952; otolaryngologist, and inventor Dr. S. Thomas Westerman, Class of 1952; Red Bank businessman and community leader Dean Ross, Class of 1969; physician and professor Dr. Lindsay Maggio, Class of 1998; financial advisor; coach and collegiate star athlete Tahj J. Holden, Class of 1999; and Army Troop Commander and West Point graduate and athlete CPT Bo Olsen, Class of 2004.

    RBR senior Jose Ramirez of Red Bank recently took first place at the State Technology Student Association (TSA) Competition for his portfolio and model in Transportation Modeling. The event took place at the College of New Jersey on April 16. His advisor, RBR technology teacher Kathryn Hawley states, “Last year Jose placed third in this same competition. Jumpstarting that resolution, RBR will host a WOD—Workout of the Day on Saturday, June 11.
