• The Family and Consumer Science Program consists of elective courses in Food Preparation and Early Childhood Development. The courses have been developed to encourage student interest in the real-world world practices of kitchens and restaurants around the world and the study of young minds in the area of teacher training and development. Interested 8th Graders may also choose to select Early Childhood Development as a 4-Year Major, as it is a state certified Career Technical Education program. Students interested in having an even greater learning experience in the kitchen should consider joining the Culinary Club, where hands-on food preparation continues into a variety of active experiences.
