Ridge Road Run, 5K
The Source is looking for ambassadors for our annual Ridge Road Run event. This event raises money for and brings awareness about suicide prevention. Ambassadors will meet monthly, between January and May, with the advisory team to give input on the event aas wel as input on how the money raised should be spent. they will help to disseminate information throughout their school and communitites. Promote the event, solicit sponshorships ans work with their school based advisors to help "end the stigma" of mental health.
Other opportunities will be avaliable closer to the event.

The T Thomas Fortune Cultural Foundation
The T Thomas Cultural Foundation of Red Bank is seeking civic-minded students who are interested in history, social justice and/or the arts. There are many opportunities to be involved, including: becoming a summer intern; creating art to be used at events (essays, poetry, music or visual); helping to disseminate informtion at events or become a steward of the cultural center. Twin Lights Historical Gift Shop
Volunteers needed to assist in the operation of the Twin Lights Historic site gift shop. The site is owned and operated by the state however the gift shop is staffed by volunteers with the Twin Lights Historical Society without dedicated volunteers the state is unable to open the site 7 days a week. 4 hour shift once a week in the gift ship morning or afternoons. Red Bank Primary School
Volunteers wanted to mentor students at The Red Bank Primary school on Mondays 3:15pm to 4:30pm. No prior experience necessary. This is a fun and rewarding experience for all volunteers. Volunteers become mentors and help to improve a student's desire to do better in school. You can make a difference to a 2nd or 3rd grade students life. The first meeting will be November 4th. Media Center Volunteers
The Media Center is looking for students to assist the Media Specialist, Ms. Bunn, to help keep the Media Center a great environment to study and relax. Contact Ms. Bunn or Mrs. Hansen in The Media Center if you have an interest in working with students and staff in the educational setting. Duties will include: Keeping the shelves and the computer areas clean and organized; sorting and reshelving library materials; assisting students with technology questions; helping to create displays, bulletin boards and flyers; making recommendations of books to fellow students; helping to plan after school events and make marketing materials. Experience with and knowledge of library organization and computers is helpful.
