Red Rank Regional Receives Top Spot in High School Ranking Index

Red Bank Regional has been recognized as the most academically challenging high school in Monmouth County in the most recent Jay Mathews Challenge Index. RBR ranked #18 in New Jersey and in the top two percent of public and private high schools nationally. The Challenge Index is the oldest high school ranking system in the country, beginning in 1998 in both Newsweek and The Washington Post.

The achievement is an affirmation of the quality of our programs, the dedication of our staff, and the excellence of our students. RBR was commended for both the high rate of participation in AP and IB courses as well as the large portion of students achieving success on the end-of-course exams. Of the top 18 schools in New Jersey, RBR was ranked sixth in terms of students passing the tests. Sixty-one percent of our students who sat for the tests achieved proficiency.
